That's it for the three days of Tattersalls Book 1.

Godolphin came out as the leading buyer with 23 lots bought for a total of 19,625,000gns, with Amo Racing in second with 13,575,000gns spent for 12 lots.

Leading consignor honours went to Newsells Park Stud with 21 lots sold for 13,415,000gns.

The top sire award went to Frankel with 18 lots making a total of 14,560,000gns and at an average of 808,889gns.

I hope you all enjoyed the action and have enjoyed following our coverage. You can read all of James Thomas's reports online tonight.

Thanks for reading. Until next time!

Karl Burke goes to one million guineas

Karl Burke has been a regular spender at the sale this week and he made a late winning bid for Ballyhimikin Stud's Night Of Thunder colt out of Wild Rye (lot 525).

Yet another seven-figure yearling for the red-hot Night Of Thunder, the colt The comes from the excellent Juddmonte family of Kalpana, Zambezi Sun and Better Together.

Late session highlights

There's only around a dozen or so lots left for Tattersalls Book 1.

However there are still a number of well-bred lots, including the Frankel filly out of dual Group 1 winner Wonderful Tonight (lot 528) and a Ghaiyyath half-sister to leading juvenile Zavateri (534).

The action isn't done and dusted just yet!

'She was a star right from the start'

The 1.5 million guineas Frankel filly out of Ville De Grace was bred by the Harris family's Lordship Stud, with the operation picking up the Le Havre mare at the December Mares Sale here in 2022.

Ville De Grace, a winner of the Pride Stakes for Sir Michael Stoute, cost a fair penny at 2 million guineas that day but the Harris's faith has been repaid here with the Watership Down Stud-consigned yearling.

Tom Harris said: "She's a fantastic looking mare, she is an exceptional mare, she's an unbelievable mover and this is a beautiful first foal. And she's been from day one - we've thought she was a star right from the start, and she continued to develop that way all the way through."

"When we came up here, we were looking at the fillies and each evening we'd say to each other, 'Have we seen anything better?' and the answer was always 'No!'

"We're delighted she has gone to Juddmonte and it's a great start for the mare. She's back in foal to Frankel."

Newsells Park Stud's beautifully bred Dubawi filly (lot 508) - a daughter of the wonderful Waldlerche and therefore a half-sister to Arc hero Waldgeist - was bought back at 900,000gns.

There are not too many lots left now!

Juddmonte goes to 1.5 million guineas for Frankel filly

Juddmonte picked up a smart looking Frankel filly (498) for 1.5 million guineas, the bay was consigned by Watership Down Stud.

The February-born yearling is the first foal out of the Group-winning Le Havre mare Ville De Grace and the page traces back to American Grade 1 scorer Prince Arch.

The operation would know better than anyone what a good Frankel looks like so it should be a good omen for the filly going forward. Her dam sold in this very ring for 2 million guineas in 2022.

Another seven-figure lot

Henry Lascelles

Henry Lascelles was in action earlier on in the day and he went to 1.1 million guineas for Barton Stud's Night Of Thunder half-sister to last year's Prix de l'Abbaye winner Makarova (lot 494).

The filly hails from an excellent Cheveley Park family as her Sea The Stars dam is a granddaughter of the influential Russian Rhythm. The family also includes Prix Jean Prat scorer Good Guess.

Shadwell goes to 625,000gns for Baaeed colt

Shadwell has entered the scene and gone to 625,000gns for a colt by their world turf champion and exciting young sire Baaeed (lot 484).

Consigned by Corduff Stud and out of the high-class race filly and broodmare Turret Rocks, the colt is a half-brother to Jersey Stakes victor Age Of Kings.

Baaeed was a brilliant performer on the track for Shadwell and William Haggas, winning six Group 1s and becoming the highest-rated horse in Europe since Frankel.

Needless to say he has proven hugely popular at stud and his first crop of yearlings have sold well - a blue-blooded filly was joint top lot on the first day of the Arqana August Sale at €800,000.

New top lot!

Fittocks Stud was responsible for two seven-figure lots yesterday - including the co-session-topping 2.2 million guineas Frankel colt - and their Wootton Bassett colt out of Time Tunnel (lot 477) went the way of Godolphin just now for 1.9 million guineas.

The colt is a half-brother to stakes winner Topanga and hails from the fine Juddmonte family of Group 1 winners Timepiece, Passage Of Time and Twice Over.

Notably, Juddmonte were the underbidders on this colt.

Coming up...

Victoria Road: returns to action under Ryan Moore

Ballyhimikin Stud's Saxon Warrior colt out of Tickled Pink (lot 475) is a brother to Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf scorer Victoria Road and 2025's smart juvenile Andab.

Hailing from the illustrious family of Magical, Rhododendron, Auguste Rodin, Halfway To Heaven and Cassandra Go, the youngster will go under the hammer shortly.

Amo returned to the fray when going to 550,000gns for Redpender Stud's Minzaal half-sister to July Cup hero Mill Stream (lot 460).

The filly by Derrinstown Stud's Sprint Cup hero and first-crop sire is not only a half-sister to the Yeomanstown Stud resident, but also to Richmond Stakes victor and Prix Morny third Asymmetric.

Minzaal has made a good start with his first crop, with the Goffs UK Premier Yearling Sale top lot making £190,000 to Shadwell. He's had six lots here so far sell for an average of 189,000gns and total of 1.14 million guineas.

Godolphin swoop for Too Darn Hot colt from the family of Dubai Millennium

Godolphin returns to action to buy Kellsgrange Stud's Too Darn Hot three-parts brother to Bahrain Trophy runner-up Nightime Dancer (lot 452) for 600,000gns.

The colt is out of a Sea The Stars mare from a family Sheikh Mohammed treasures - third dam Colorado Dancer is the dam of Godolphin's great champion Dubai Millennium.

In other news...

Daryz (Mickael Barzalona) after winning the Arc
Daryz: Arc hero remains in trainingCredit: Edward Whitaker (racingpost.com/photos)

The Aga Khan Studs has announced that Arc winner Daryz will remain in training for 2026.

Great news all-round as the son of Sea The Stars surely has plenty more to offer. As someone who loves middle-distance performers it will be fantastic to see him strut his stuff on the track for another year.

He will be an exciting stallion prospect when the time comes, although commercial considerations nowadays means connections will have to try and win a Group 1 over ten furlongs with him.

Daryz will not lack for support from the Aga Khan Studs, though, and he has such a fantastic pedigree too - being out of Group 1 winner Daryakana and a half-brother to another in Dariyan.

New sires for 2026

Lead Artist: Lockinge winner and new Juddmonte sire

I was lucky enough to go to Banstead Manor Stud on Monday to see new Juddmonte recruit and Lockinge winner Lead Artist.

The son of Dubawi and Obligate had settled in very well and it'll be interesting to see how he lets down over the next few months before the covering season.

Which other new recruits are you looking forward to seeing? Do email your thoughts to liveblog@racingpost.com.

Biding their time?

Robson Aguiar and Kia Joorabchian celebrate Arizona Blaze's Group 1 triumph
Robson Aguiar and Kia Joorabchian - will the Amo Racing team strike back?Credit: Patrick McCann

I've been for a jaunt around the parade ring at Tattersalls and have seen the biggest players this week. Will they strike back after a quieter time of things today?

Godolphin has signed for four lots so far but Amo has yet to sign for anything. I'd hazard a guess and say that will change...

SackvilleDonald strikes for Sea The Stars daughter of Skitter Scatter

Airlie Stud's beautifully bred Sea The Stars filly out of Moyglare scorer Skitter Scatter (lot 424) went the way of SackvilleDonald for 625,000gns.

It's a happening family as last weekend's emphatic Prix de Royallieu winner Consent features under the third dam. That Lope De Vega filly looks set to stay in training for Sir Mark Prescott and Denford Stud.

There is also plenty happening higher up the page as Skitter Scatter's Listed-winning Kingman half-sister, Skellet, was Group-placed when third in the Atalanta Stakes. She runs in tomorrow's Pride Stakes (4.45) at Newmarket.

There is a bit of a lull in proceedings - by Book 1 standards! - at the moment with a few vendor buy-backs, but I've no doubt action will pick up again shortly.

Godolphin picks up first foal out of Group 1 star

500,000gns for a Frankel filly out of the Group 1-winning Sea The Stars mare Sea La Rosa (lot 401) could look a (comparative!) bargain for Godolphin as the team lands the well-bred filly consigned by The Castlebridge Consignment.

Sea La Rosa is a sister to Great Voltigeur Stakes scorer Deauville Legend, while the page also includes fellow Group winners The Juliet Rose and Arabian Crown.

Wise Approach's sister sells to MV Magnier

Tally-Ho Stud's sister (lot 393) to Middle Park Stakes winner Wise Approach was a pre-sale highlight thanks to her year-older brother's exploits and she sells to MV Magnier for 480,000gns.

The Mehmas filly is a half-sister to another Middle Park winner in Perfect Power, a son of Ardad who also landed the Prix Morny and Commonwealth Cup for Richard Fahey.

Perfect Power stands at Darley's Dalham Hall Stud and his first crop are yearlings of 2025.

Frozen Power mare Sagely is a fantastic broodmare and is still only 12-years-old. Picked up by Tally-Ho for just 42,000gns at the Tattersalls December Mares Sale in 2017, she can boast three black-type winners or performers from three runners.

Her other progeny to have made the track is Golden Mind, third in the Listed Chesham Stakes and a classy handicapper for Fahey.
