Each member of the quartet was pinhooked by Richard Rohan and not one of them cost the Ballytrasna Stud owner a king's ransom. From Noel Chance's Gold Cup hero to the back-to-back winner of the Stayers' Hurdle, each has proved time and again the eye Rohan possesses for a horse, the clairvoyant nature of that judgement realised year after year on Cleeve Hill.
For Rohan, who this week is flat out at the Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale alongside brother-in-law Michael Moore and the Ballincurrig House Stud sales crew, this year's Stayers' Hurdle captured in mid-toss both sides of the coin when your living is made through horses.
