Match previews
Super Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic has followed his breakthrough season in 2019 by booking his place in the Qatar Open last 16 and he can make life tough for Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.
The dazzling 20-year-old made the last eight of a Masters 1000 event at Indian Wells and reached the semi-finals of the season-ending Next Gen ATP tournament.
Third seed Tsonga should make his experience count but dropped sets against Jan-Lennard Struff and Andrey Rublev in the Paris Masters and do so again.
Sixth seed Filip Krajinovic started his 2020 by sweeping aside British number three Kyle Edmund 4-6 6-3 6-3 but could come unstuck against veteran Fernando Verdasco, who is playing in his hometown.
The Spaniard, who made the quarter-finals of four tour-level events in 2019, beat compatriot Pablo Andujar in straight sets in the previous round.
