Madness not to back Joe Sugg to win Strictly series
Comic Seann Walsh unlikely to have the last laugh
Week three
BBC One, 6.30pm Saturday
Poor Susannah Constantine. She was not good enough to stay, but not so bad that the public wanted to keep her in to laugh at each week. Nevertheless, in a year high on quality, it was right that the author and presenter was first to go.
If the natural order continues, this week’s dance-off should contain Seann Walsh and Katie Piper. But Lee Ryan found himself in the bottom two after a superb jive last week, showing just how much sway the fanbase holds. Piper has her fair share of supporters, but a jive at this stage is be a big ask for such an inexperienced dancer.
In the unlikely event that they’re both in the dance-off, their performances will decide who stays, but Walsh would have little chance of surviving movie night if he goes up against any other rival.
Joe Sugg's Charleston was terrific and the series favourite looks worth backing now before his price shortens further.
