Welsh Open semi-final: 3,000-1 shot Joe O'Connor 7-2 to make the final

Stuart Bingham is 1-5 to defeat 7-2 chance Joe O'Connor in their best-of-11-frames Welsh Open semi-final clash but the Essex cueman would do well to respect the Leicester potter.

O'Connor, who was a whopping 3,000-1 for the title earlier this week, defeated quarter-final foe John Higgins, last year’s Cardiff title winner, 5-3 with a brilliant run of 131 in the final frame.

Bingham had too much for Zhao Xintong in the last eight and defeated his Chinese opponent 5-2.
