Talented Aussie has been upping his game

Neil Robertson has been showing positive vibes in recent weeks and the Australian could be playing well enough to deny Stuart Bingham in their China Open quarter-final.

It's not a clash for heavy stakes because both players will still be fine-tuning their games with the Crucible just over a fortnight away, but of the pair Robertson is definitely good enough to win a second world title.

Of course, that's reflected in their prices to progress to the semi-finals in Beijing, but Bingham has had the disadvantage of missing six months this season due to a betting ban.

Prior to defeating Graeme Dott in the last 16, Bingham only just edged out Matthew Stevens and Ricky Walden in final-frame deciders. Robertson had to work hard to pip Sam Craigie 6-5, but the Melbourne native stepped things up to thrash Zhou Yuelong 6-1 to earn a last-eight berth.

Jack Lisowski plays Kyren Wilson, who ousted Ding Junhui 6-5, for a last-four spot but it's difficult to be confident about which way that one will go.

Recommendation
N Robertson
