Second place in the Betfred Super League is the incentive for Salford Red Devils and Leeds Rhinos in what should be an entertaining clash.

Hull’s 19-12 defeat to St Helens on Friday means whoever wins at the AJ Bell Stadium will open up a three-point gap on the Black & Whites.

Salford are 10-11 favourites to do so but Leeds look the pick on current form and Sky Bet’s 11-10 about a Rhinos victory makes the most appeal.

The Red Devils are enjoying their finest top-flight campaign in the Super League era but their meetings with Leeds have been less successful.

The Rhinos have won 16 of their last 18 clashes with Salford and they have won five of their last seven matches in all competitions.

Salford’s recent form has been patchy and two defeats from their last four at home suggests they could be vulnerable.

Leeds are carrying a few knocks but they should be strong enough to move into second spot.
