Sydney Roosters roll into Penrith as NRL and World Club champions and they should get their domestic campaign off to a perfect start.

The Roosters were utterly convincing in their 20-12 win over Betfred Super League champions St Helens last month and they can get their league defence up and running.

Skinny match odds of 1-2 are best avoided but the 2-1 that the champions get home by no more than two converted tries looks the way to go.

The Roosters ran out 22-6 winners when the sides last met at the end of August and they can tame the Panthers once more.
