St Helens strengthened their grip on top spot in the Betfred Super League with two wins from two over Easter but the champions have rung the changes for Friday's trip to Castleford.

Saints coach Kristian Woolf watched his side brush bitter rivals Wigan and then Huddersfield aside last week but he has opted to rest almost his entire first team for the visit to The Jungle after the energy-sapping double-header.

Castleford are on a three-match winning streak following a slow start to the season and they have lifted themselves into playoff contention. Those three victories have come against bottom-three sides Wakefield, Leeds and Toulouse but they look to have a golden chance of a fourth win on the spin given Saints' heavy rotation.

Super League new boys Toulouse are currently the only side to have beaten the champions and Olympique will be looking to spring another surprise at Headingley on Friday.

Toulouse take on a Leeds side who are arguably even more in the doldrums than themselves having started the season with Grand Final ambitions.

The Rhinos have won just once in the league this season and stemmed the bleeding with a decent draw against Huddersfield last Thursday.

They followed that with a narrow defeat to Castleford and scoring points is proving tricky for Leeds, who would take any kind of victory at the moment.

This could be a nervy contest and the home side are taken to just have the edge over their fellow strugglers.
