IT’S 33 long years since Hull were last crowned rugby league champions but Airlie Birds fans are daring to dream as this season continues to exceed expectations.

Their odds for Grand Final glory have been slashed from a pre-season 33-1 to just 7-2 and captain Gareth Ellis is now Betway’s 2-1 favourite to be named Man of Steel.

In the past fortnight the Black & Whites secured top spot after the 23 regular-season rounds and reached the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup final with a gutsy win over Wigan.
