Catalans Dragons ended St Helens' unbeaten start to the Betfred Super League campaign last week and they will relish the opportunity to bring Wigan Warriors' 100 per cent record to an end in round eight.

The Warriors edged past Salford to go top of the pile last week but face their toughest test of the season with the Dragons fired up in the early stages of the competition, winning six of their opening seven fixtures.

Only Warrington have got the better of the French side in 2021 with that win over the champions and a 27-10 triumph at Hull FC particular high points.

And they can add another notable scalp in a fixture which they have generally struggled.

Wigan have won 12 of their last 13 meetings with Catalans, including five of the last six away.

The Warriors have been solid, conceding just 88 points this term, but Catalans are scoring at just over 26 points per game and this fixture could swing either way in what should be demanding contest.

Bookmakers make the visitors slight favourites but humid conditions are forecast for the south of France and that could help shift the balance in favour of the home side to record a rare victory over Wigan.
