Bulldogs v Roosters
Sky Sports Action, 10.50am Thursday

Sydney Roosters had plenty to crow about when beating Canterbury Bulldogs 30-12 in round two of this season's NRL but they might struggle to make it a quickfire double over the Doggies.

A quirk in the fixture list pairs these sides together again after just four weeks but Canterbury may have been able to narrow the gap in that time.

The Roosters have progressed from that victory nicely with two wins from their next three games but last week's 26-14 home thumping by the Rabbitohs suggests they are far from the finished article and the Bulldogs will be buoyed by last Saturday's shock 27-10 win over the Cowboys.

Those results suggests this game could be closer than their round two dust-up and it may pay to back the Bulldogs in receipt of a six-point start in the match handicap.

Canterbury have won 11 of their 17 meetings with the Roosters at their ANZ Stadium base and they should be on a high after their fine win over the Cowboys a week ago.
