Wigan Warriors are eight-point favourites for their Betfred Super League clash with Castleford Tigers just three weeks after losing 38-28 to the same opponents in a clash at the Jungle for which they were two-point underdogs.

Such a swing in the betting would suggest a huge reversal in fortunes for both sides but it's pretty much a case of as you were for both of them.

Cas are still plodding along nicely in fourth spot while Wigan are dwelling in the lower regions of the table as they struggle to make a fist of their title defence.

Both sides have been plagued by inconsistency and it looks as if bookmakers are taking a dim view of the Tigers' gruelling Easter schedule in which they were soundly beaten 37-16 by Catalans in France on Monday, four days after edging home 28-26 in an energy-sapping derby dust-up with Wakefield.

Wigan also chalked up one win from their Bank Holiday double-header with a hard-fought 30-26 success at Salford on Monday following a 36-10 pasting by St Helens at the DW Stadium on Good Friday.

The Warriors are back on home soil for this fixture but it's hard to be bullish about a side who have won just one of their last four matches. Siding with the Tigers in receipt of an eight-point start on the handicap looks the best policy.

Saturday's other fixture looks more clear-cut as Salford head to the English capital to take on London Broncos.

The home side are in freefall following an encouraging start to the season while Salford continue to exceed expectations.

The Red Devils tamed Warrington Wolves 36-12 on Good Friday and although they followed that up with a narrow loss to Wigan they should be far too strong for the Londoners and an eight-point line looks well within reach.
