Raging Rahm could emerge as a serious Bellerive bully
Open champion can be opposed
Jon Rahm has a good opportunity of improving on a poor Majors record in the US PGA Championship this week and the Spaniard can be fancied to outscore Francesco Molinari over 72 holes at soggy Bellerive Country Club.
Rahm, fourth in the Masters in April, should develop into a Major champion over the next few years, and his best opportunity for success will come on relatively straightforward courses like Bellerive.

The classic, parkland layout is not much different from Torrey Pines, where he won his maiden US Tour title, and scoring should be similar to that found in the Farmers Insurance Open.
Rahm has had his temperament tested in US Opens and Opens, the youngster buckling under the strain, but Bellerive does not require as much in the way of course-management and strategy, and he should be able to card regular birdies to keep his spirits up.
Molinari has obviously had a lot to deal with since his Open Championship triumph, a success which took his career to a new level. He became Italy's first Major champion and has been under the spotlight both at home and abroad since his Carnoustie coup.
Molinari was understandably flat at Firestone last week on his return to action, sharing 39th place in the 71-runner event, and Bellerive does not look like the sort of track which will suit to the style of this accurate grinder.
Rahm, much more dynamic with driver in hand, six shots superior at Firestone, and probably more motivated than Molinari, seems the more likely contender for the Wanamaker Trophy.
Recommendation
J Rahm to beat F Molinari
