Abraham Ancer should have all the answers in Texas shootout
Rose takes control at the top of board
Sky Sports Golf, 6pm Saturday
Justin Rose changed his schedule this season, replacing the BMW PGA Championship with the Fort Worth Invitational to satisfy US Tour membership rules, and the Englishman admitted he was gutted about having to miss Wentworth.
The gloom has probably quickly lifted, though, with Rose leading the Fort Worth Invitational after two rounds of action at Colonial Country Club. The former US Open champion is ten under par, having fired a second-round 64.
Rose, who could be backed at 20-1 ante-post, is a firm 13-8 favourite for Fort Worth glory. Jordan Spieth, enduring another frustrating week on the greens, is seven shots behind, sharing 23rd place, and a general 20-1 for a come-from-behind success.
A seriously hot Saturday is forecast for Texas. Rose and second-placed Emiliano Grillo are both extremely accurate and could easily retain the top two positions on the leaderboard for Sunday.
Expect a charge from Spieth, who has said he will abandon his defensive tee-shot tactics of the first two days, but the 2016 champion needs significant weekend fireworks to overcome the leading duo. A seven-shot deficit is daunting, even for a player of his calibre.
Third-round twoball punters are advised to start their Saturday attack with Abraham Ancer in the 4.20pm contest. The Texas-born Mexican 27-year-old is accurate and improving, and can outscore Joel Dahmen for the remainder of the tournament.
Bryson DeChambeau, full of form and confidence, is a surprisingly big price to account for Kevin Tway in the 6pm match.
Twoballs recommendations

2pts Evens general
B DeChambeau
