Visiting Tyrone can back up Donegal demolition in style

Both these sides posted wide-margin wins in round five but the layers appear to have read much more into Mayo’s wide-margin win over basement boys Kildare than Tyrone’s impressive dismantling of Donegal.

The Lilywhites are starting to struggle in Division 1 and last year’s beaten All-Ireland finalists took full advantage of their vulnerability, posting a 1-19 to 1-12 success.

Tyrone produced their most impressive display of 2018 with Lee Brennan, Mark Bradley, Niall Sludden and Conor McAliskey contributing 2-10 of their 2-13.

Their attacking unit is finally starting to flourish and with Colm Cavanagh coming back to his best form the visitors look great value to get the better of Mayo by two points or more.

Louth v Meath
Drogheda, 2pm Sunday

It has been a bitterly disappointing campaign for Andy McEntee and his misfiring Meath troops who deposited three points from a possible four into their Division 2 account in the opening two games.

It has been a tale of woe since their wide-margin round-two win over Clare with losses to Cavan, Tipperary and Cork, but the Royals should be able to get back on track against arch rivals Louth who are the whipping boys in the division.

Meath welcome back the useful Donal Lenihan to their attack and the likes of Graham Reilly, Eamonn Wallace and Cillian O'Sullian ought to have too much pace and craft for a Louth defence who have been leaking huge scores.

Meath have netted in four of their five tussles, only failing to find the net in the Clare win where they scored 0-21.

They got two in their draw with Roscommon and one each in the defeats to Cavan, Tipperary and Cork. The visitors should be backed at 5-4 with Paddy Power to score two or more goals and a small investment at 7-2 on three or more goals is also advised.

Fermanagh v Armagh

Two of the form sides in Division 3 lock horns in Enniskillen where the home side look great value to cause an upset.

Fermanagh succumbed to Westmeath in round five but there were more positives than negatives to come out of that display and they are tremendously tricky to beat on home soil.

Armagh were more workmanlike than impressive in dismantling Derry and Fermanagh look the value option in what could be a close encounter.
