Tyrone's class to shine through against Cavan
Tyrone v Cavan
2pm Sunday
Tyrone and Cavan are in entirely different places right now and the gulf in class between the pair can be demonstrated at Healy Park.
This game was supposed to take place a fortnight ago but was called off due to a waterlogged pitch. Since then, Tyrone have topped Monaghan but Cavan have suffered a bitterly disappointing loss at the hands of Donegal.
That was a home match for the Breffni boys too and surely a contest they would have chalked down as a 'must-win' at the start of the campaign.
Cavan are in deep trouble and staring relegation in the face. Tyrone, in stark contrast, have their eyes fixed on the big prize and will fancy their prospects of winning the division.
A third victory would put them firmly on course for topping the table and setting up a final showdown with Dublin. That would set them up nicely for the All-Ireland campaign this summer.
Cavan manager Mattie McGleenan has rung the chances for the trip to Tyrone with Jason McLoughlin and Niall Murray making their first competitive starts of 2017, while Conor Moynagh returns from injury to wear the number six jersey.
But where are Cavan's scores going to come from? It is hard to see them scoring a dozen points so the best bet is for Tyrone to win by five points or more. The hosts have scored only one goal in their three outings.
Expect to see Tyrone create more goal opportunities against a Cavan side severely lacking in confidence. The home side can be backed at 11-2 to score a goal in each half and given their superiority that looks too big.
