Sunday's All-Ireland quarter-final previews, tips & TV details
Cork v Kilkenny | Tipperary v Laois
Premier Sports 1, from 2pm Sunday
Tipperary v Laois
Croke Park, 4pm
Laois produced one of the greatest shocks in modern hurling history last Sunday by defeating Dublin at O’Moore Park and the scenes that followed will long live in the memory of their fans.
A clash with Tipperary is their reward and although they face a mammoth challenge, what they have done for Laois hurling already cannot be understated.
This is almost certainly the end of the road for them this season though and it would be a surprise to see them get close to a Tipperary side who have been beaten only once in this championship, by a Limerick side in top form.
Liam Sheedy has revitalized this Tipperary side and although they have a long way to go if they are to beat Limerick, should they meet again, they should have no problem dismissing Laois.
Anything else would likely be a disappointment for Tipperary and Sheedy has named a strong team to ensure that doesn’t happen.
