Offaly v Meath

2.30pm Sunday

There is a relegation four-pointer in Division 2 as Meath take on Offaly and the fact the visitors to O'Connor Park are as big as 1-2 tells you how their league campaign has gone so far.

Had this game been priced up before a football was kicked in the division, Meath would have likely been much shorter. They have, after all, been operating at a much higher level to Offaly for the last number of years.

The handicap is only two points and, despite their poor form, Meath look terrific value at 10-11 to make light of it. The Royals should have beaten Down, but Ronan Jones is back in the side and Cillian O'Sullivan ought to be back to full fitness this weekend after a bout of Covid.

Offaly are without a point from their two games and their score difference is -21. For all Meath's woes, they are still a vastly superior side and look a great price at 6-5 to score 16 or more points on top of defying a generous handicap.

Donegal v Tyrone

RTE2, 7.30pm Saturday

Tyrone were lucky to come away from last week's clash with Kildare with maximum points. They were outplayed for large portions and should have been comfortably beaten.

The All-Ireland champions welcome back a host of players who were suspended for that game but they still look far too short for their trip to Donegal.

There is no denying Donegal were poor themselves in their loss to Kerry but the Kingdom were on top from an early stage and managed the game extremely well. Plus, Shaun Patton had a howler for the Kerry goal.

It is a big year for this Donegal side and victory over Tyrone could kickstart their campaign. Odds of 6-4 about a home win in Ballybofey are very attractive indeed.
