Donegal could fall into the same trap as Monaghan and exit the All-Ireland championship with a whimper in the qualifiers having put every last drop of energy into grabbing another Ulster title.

Not only did Donegal put everything into their Ulster campaign but they were two minutes away from achieving that goal and it was only some sublime points from Peter Harte and Sean Cavanagh that prevented them lifting another provincial title.
