The rest of hurling's top-flight teams have a break from competitive action this week, but Kilkenny and Wexford are set to do battle on Sunday after their intended clash last weekend was postponed due to two Covid-19 positives in the Wexford camp.

Further testing of the squad revealed no new coronavirus positives, but Kilkenny have reportedly since had a player produce a Covid positive in a separate setting this week - not the ideal build up to a major fixture for either side.

The market has largely remained the same as to when the two Leinster outfits were due to play last weekend and the suspicion remains that Wexford are a touch overpriced at 9-4, also making appeal +3 on the handicap market at evens.

Kilkenny dealt with Dublin and Antrim in the opening two rounds of the competition but this looks their biggest test of the campaign and there was a lot to like about the clinical streak in front of goal that Wexford showed late on against Clare last time.

For all that the game changed considerably when the Banner went down to 14 men, that come-from-behind win - in which they outscored Clare 2-6 to 0-4 in the final quarter - will have given the 2019 Leinster champions plenty of confidence.
