Clare v Wexford

Where to watch

Streamed on GAA Go, 2pm Saturday

Best bets

Wexford to win by one to three points
2pts 7-2 general

Clare-Wexford double result
2pts 9-2 general

Match preview

The most informative two days of the 2020 season gets underway with what's sure to be an intense battle between Clare and Wexford, a knockout clash in which most of narrative centres on the fallout between managers Davy Fitzgerald and Brian Lohan.

The Banner County have beaten Wexford in their last three meetings, but both sides have something to prove.

A 14-man Clare outfit limped over the line against Laois last week, having squandered two seven-point leads and been outscored 1-6 to 0-3 in the last 15 minutes.

On the other hand, Wexford were unrecognisable from their usual energised selves when producing one of their most dismal championship displays in recent memory against Galway last month - a performance Fitzgerald described as "absolutely terrible".

Expect a serious response in this do-or-die scenario from Wexford.

Given that there has only been a goal between the sides in their last two meetings, the Model County look worth supporting at 7-2 to win by one to three points.

There may also be some value in taking a chance on Clare leading at half time and Wexford winning at full time at 9-2.

The last time the sides met, albeit in blustery conditions, the Banner County led 0-12 to 0-4 early before the Yellowbellies brought it back to 0-15 to 0-14 with eight minutes to go, left to rue hitting ten second-half wides when beaten by three points.

Tipperary v Cork

Where to watch

Sky Sports Mix, 4pm Saturday

Best bets

Tipperary -2
4pts 10-11 general

Match preview

Tipperary are a confident selection to get back on track in the other qualifier match against Cork.

The Premier County are sure to improve plenty for their return to action against a match-sharp Limerick side, who can be considered the best team in the country.

Cork were woeful against Waterford and bounced back with a more spirited showing against Dublin, but their Leinster opponents were crucially playing their third game in 14 days, a task that can cause teams problems.

The Rebels are also now facing a third match in a fortnight and it's worth remembering that Kieran Kingston only got access to his entire squad from early October as a result of club championship scheduling in Cork.

The often hit-and-miss outfit, who have the worst defensive record of the top nine teams in the country, could struggle to stop a Tipperary team capable of racking up big scores, tallying at least 30 points in six of their eight championship encounters last season.

Kilkenny v Galway

Where to watch

RTE2, 6.15pm Saturday

Best bets

Kilkenny draw no bet
1pt 6-4 Boylesports

Over 3.5 goals
1pt 5-6 Paddy Power

Match preview

An action-packed Saturday comes to a close with a tasty Leinster final between Kilkenny and Galway.

There's a real incentive for both sides as they are likely avoid Limerick in the All Ireland semi-final with victory at Croke Park this weekend.

Kilkenny's second-half collapse against Dublin last month was undoubtedly concerning, but they completely outclassed their opponents in the first half and just got too relaxed when in cruise control.

You can be sure that won't happen again, while Galway arrive following a wide-margin win against Wexford that taught us little considering how atrocious their rivals were on the night.

This will be a much more accurate reflection of where they are at the moment and Kilkenny look overpriced at 6-4 in the draw-no-bet market.

Both sides gave the impression they could offer significant goal threats in their semi-final outings and over 3.5 goals in the match looks appealing at 5-6, with five goals scored between the pair when meeting in last year's championship.

Limerick v Waterford

Where to watch

RTE2, 4pm Sunday

Best bets

Limerick -5
1pt 4-5 general

Match preview

Limerick are worthy favourites to dispose of Waterford in the Munster decider and a five-point handicap should be manageable.

Limerick have been putting up impressive scoring tallies on their opponents but the presence of the in-form Tadhg de Burca in the Deise's defense should make life tougher for the All-eland favourites to convert.

However, John Kiely's men are simply playing to a different beat to every other side in the country at present and can account for a Waterford outfit tackling a hugely different task than last time when beating an aimless Cork.
