NY Jets can fly past the struggling Bucs
Tampa Bay haven't got going
Best handicap bet
New York Jets -2.5 at Tampa Bay
Many expected the Jets to be the weakest team in the league this season but four wins from nine matches has been a decent return and they could yet force their way into the playoff picture.
Their record could have been even better had they not been unfortunate in losing to Miami and Atlanta in close contests and they should be in fine mood as they head to Florida to face Tampa Bay.
The Jets were excellent against Buffalo last week when they gained a valuable divisional win. The final score was 34-21 but the Bills scored two of their touchdowns in the final quarter when their opponents were in firm control.
It is difficult to see Tampa Bay staying with them as the Buccaneers have struggled virtually from the off.
They had to take their bye in Week One after their clash with Miami was postponed due to a hurricane and they have not really found their feet since. They have won two of their eight matches and are in danger of losing touch in the NFC South.
The Bucs have suffered five successive defeats and will be a patched-up outfit this week as quarterback Jameis Winston is ruled out with a shoulder injury and top receiver Mike Evans has been suspended for one match after starting a fight in last week's loss in New Orleans.
It will be a task to ensure that indiscipline has not set in and it would not be a surprise if their season was virtually over after the Jets' visit.
Best total-points bet
Over 43.5 in Cleveland at Detroit
Cleveland head to Michigan still looking for their first victory of the season but they have had a week off to think about what was a decent performance in the early stages of their defeat to Minnesota at Twickenham.
The Browns have failed to score more than 17 points in any of their last five matches, but they could force the issue against the Lions, who have conceded at least that many points in six of their eight matches.
Detroit will be eyeing a playoff push now Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been ruled out for the rest of the season and they tend to leave their best efforts to the end of matches.
The Lions have averaged 9.2 points in the fourth quarter this season - the third-highest figure in the league - and can be relied upon to push right to the end of matches.
Best player bet
R Woods to score a touchdown for LA Rams
The Rams are the highest-scoring team in the league and quarterback Jared Goff looks a completely different player from the one who struggled as a quarterback last season.
He has a wealth of receiving options including Sammy Watkins and Cooper Kupp, but it is worth keeping an eye on Robert Woods in their clash at home to Houston.
Woods was a big factor in last week's 51-17 victory at the New York Giants when he scored two touchdowns and he can claim another TD against the Texans, who have conceded a total of four to wide receivers in their last two games against Seattle and Indianapolis.
