Holland v Japan

BBC4, 8pm

Japan have looked a shadow of the side who made successive World Cup finals in 2011 and 2015 this tournament and their underwhelming campaign could be brought to an end by Holland.

The Dutch won the European Championship only two years ago and have started this tournament well, topping their section after winning all of their group assignments against Canada, New Zealand and Cameroon.

With Vivianne Miedema and Lieke Martens in excellent form in the final third, Holland should have enough to see off Japan, who failed to win against big guns France, Germany and Spain before the tournament.

Recommendation
Holland
2pts 10-11 Betway

Key stat
Holland have won their last six matches.

Italy v China

BBC2, 5pm

Italy are one place above China in the Fifa world rankings and the two teams could be difficult to separate in Montpellier.

Le Azzurre have impressed in their first World Cup appearance in 20 years, stunning Australia, obliterating Jamaica and making life tough for an experienced Brazil side.

Their defensive resolve was crucial during qualification - they conceded only four goals in eight matches - and a cagey last-16 meeting with China could go to extra time.

China's three matches in the group stage featured only two goals and a share of the spoil with the Italians looks the best bet.

Recommendation
Draw
1pt 21-10 general

Key stat
Five of China's last six games have featured under 2.5 goals.
