Bookmakers expect Women's World Cup hosts France to make home advantage count this summer and they can flex their goalscoring muscle against South Korea in the tournament opener.

France, 7-2 joint favourites to lift the trophy, boast a core of players fresh from winning a fourth successive Champions League crown with Lyon, most notably forward Eugenie Le Sommer.

South Korea, overreliant on Chelsea's So-Yun Ji, qualified for the tournament only through goal difference and, having lost to Iceland in April and Sweden last month, they could be significantly out of their depth.

Recommendation
France -2 goals on handicap
