Preview

Chelsea cruised through to the FA Cup semi-finals with a 5-0 victory at home to Birmingham on Sunday and they can climb to the top of the Women's Super League by defeating Tottenham at Kingsmeadow.

Emma Hayes's team have racked up 16 points from their last six league matches and were 2-0 winners away to Spurs when the teams last locked horns in May 2021.

Fifth-placed Tottenham have impressed in only their third WSL campaign and are on course for their highest-ever top-flight finish.

However, seven of their eight league victories have come against bottom-half teams and they seem to have lost the goalscoring knack in recent games, drawing 0-0 at Reading and losing 1-0 at home to Manchester City.

Spurs have relied a lot on their strong defence, conceding only 12 goals in 16 league games, and they are capable of avoiding a hammering against the Blues.

A low-scoring Chelsea win looks the most likely outcome, ensuring that the Blues stay firmly on course for a domestic double.

A less competitive game could be on the cards at Academy Stadium where fourth-placed Manchester City host fourth-from-bottom Everton. City should be far too strong and are 1-10 to take the points.
