Match preview

More than 30,000 spectators are expected to attend England women's sold-out friendly with Brazil and the crowd at Middlesbrough's Riverside Stadium should be treated to a high-scoring encounter.

England fared better at this summer's World Cup, reaching the semi-finals while Brazil were knocked out by hosts France in the last 16.

But the form of the Lionesses since has been concerning. They were incredibly sloppy at the back in a 3-3 draw with Belgium before losing 2-1 to Norway.

They are too short to back at 4-6 but a common denominator in their recent assignments has been goals.

Nikita Parris is plying her trade at arguably the greatest club side in the world in Lyon and scored their first goal of the season in the league this term after only three minutes.

She is ably supported by Fran Kirby and Rachel Daly in the final third but key defenders Millie Bright and Demi Stokes have withdrawn from the latest squad through injury.

That leaves Phil Neville's side light at the back and they could be vulnerable against the Women's World Cup's all-time top scorer Marta as well as talented forwards Bia Zaneratto and Debinha.

Backing over 2.5 goals could be the best punting strategy for this potentially tight match.
