It has been a topsy-turvy title race in Italy so far this season but bookmakers seem confident that current leaders Inter will hold on to top spot until the end of the campaign.

Napoli and Milan had previously looked the most likely to scoop the Scudetto but at the halfway stage champions Inter find themselves four points clear at the top and 3-10 favourites to win Serie A.

And given the Nerazzurri are the team in form with seven straight wins in Italy's top flight, it is hard to dispute that price.

There could, however, be value in the Serie A top scorer market.

Dusan Vlahovic is 6-4 favourite to win the Capocannoniere award right now, having scored 16 goals in 19 matches. But the Serbian has been heavily linked with a move away in January with some of the best clubs in Europe reported to be circling for the Fiorentian ace.

Ciro Immobile is next in the betting at 11-4 but is playing for an inconsistent Lazio team and Inter's Lautaro Martinez could be the better selection at 9-1.

The Argentinian looks happy in Milan, is playing for a side who are averaging more than two goals per game and found the net five times in December.

He has hit a purple patch heading into 2022, is only five goals adrift of current top scorer Vlahovic, and on average has scored a goal every 98 minutes this term.
