Hearts are up and Alloa down, but there is still much to play for on the last full day of action in the Scottish Championship, and Arbroath are fancied to win Friday's crunch tie against Morton.

A draw will keep the Lichties out of the playoffs, but not necessarily be good enough for Morton to do likewise. Both teams will also be keeping an eye on what fellow strugglers Ayr do at Inverness.

But no team at this level is good enough to be able to manage a stalemate and Arbroath also have the incentive of finishing sixth, which would represent a good season after a fairly awful start.

Since the winter break Dick Campbell's men have lost just five of 17 games, the most recent of which was last weekend's 4-3 defeat at Dunfermline. They have scored 11 goals in their last four games, star January signing Jack Hamilton has scored in each of his last four and in two previous showdowns with the Ton this term they've not shipped a single goal.

Inverness were absolutely flying before losing to St Mirren in the cup and even though they are safe, they look a big price against an Ayr team who can't find the net for love nor money.

At the other end of the table the battle to finish second concerns Raith and Dundee. Raith are in the box seat but face a visit from champions Hearts.

Dundee, a point behind Rovers, are off to Queen of the South, whose season ended when they were knocked out of the cup by Hibs, judging by their last few results.
