Preview
There’s a long weekend of Scottish Cup quarter-final action starting on Saturday and Aberdeen look a good bet to reach the last four when they host Dundee United on Sunday.
The Dons parted ways with Derek McInnes earlier in the season and new boss Stephen Glass looks to have been handed a good chance of making an impact early on in his Aberdeen reign.
The Pittodrie side played well when drawing 2-2 with Livingston in the previous round of this competition and they followed that up with a good 1-1 at home to Celtic on Wednesday.
Goalscoring has been a major problem for the Dons this term but there was certainly enough in those performances to suggest they can cause Dundee United problems.
The Terrors have been on a decent run, but their league position overplays their performances and they were hammered 3-0 at Kilmarnock in midweek. At 10-11 Aberdeen look a good value punt on Saturday.
Kilmarnock’s win against Dundee United was huge in Killie’s quest to avoid the drop and they can have a break from their worries in the cup.
St Mirren had a mountain of injury problems in midweek, and although a few of those missing players are expected to return on Monday, that may not be enough to see them through.
Kilmarnock have performed better than their results suggest this season and they look up to reaching the semi-finals.
