Aston Villa v Everton

Everton are the only Premier League club yet to concede this season and they are worth a bet away to Aston Villa. Dean Smith’s side are pointless after two games and won only 11 of their 23 home assignments in the Sky Bet Championship last term.

Norwich v Chelsea

Frank Lampard’s tenure at Chelsea has started with a defeat and a draw and they could be vulnerable favourites away to the Canaries, who breezed past Newcastle 3-1 last time out and lost only four times at Carrow Road in 2018-19.

Brighton v Southampton

Southampton should revert to three up front away to Brighton in a contest which is tricky to judge but should be full of goals. Their two meetings featured five goals last season and Brighton kept clean sheets in only five of their 19 league matches at the Amex.

Manchester United v Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace have drawn blanks on their last six visits to Old Trafford, including a goalless draw in last season’s corresponding fixture, and Manchester United can grind out a narrow victory in a low-scoring affair.

Watford v West Ham

Watford are pointless after two Premier League matches and that run could extend to three against West Ham. Last season’s meeting at Vicarage Road finished 4-1 to the Hammers, who will be buoyed by potential returns of Felipe Anderson and Sebastien Haller.

Sheffield United v Leicester City

Leicester failed to score in only two of their away assignments last season and, outside of the top six, only Crystal Palace (29) picked up more points than the Foxes (25) on the road. They can run out marginal victors against spirited Sheffield United.

Liverpool v Arsenal

Arsenal have lost their last three games at Anfield 5-1, 4-0 and 3-1 and could lose their 100 per cent record away to a Liverpool team who were unbeaten at home last campaign. But with in-form Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in their ranks, the Gunners can notch a consolation goal.

Bournemouth v Manchester City

Manchester City managed 49 first-half goals last season and can make a fast start against Bournemouth, who won only two of their matches with top-six opponents in 2018-19. The Citizens will be motivated after failing to beat Tottenham despite winning the shot count 30-3.

Tottenham Hotspur v Newcastle United

Newcastle have fired blanks in three of their last four meetings with Spurs and their recent attacking displays suggest they will carry minimal threat away to Mauricio Pochettino’s men, who have won four of their six league matches at their new stadium.

Wolves v Burnley

Wolves could be fatigued after Thursday’s match against Torino in Italy and may struggle to beat a resilient Burnley team who brushed aside Southampton 3-0 and won the shot count 18-15 against Arsenal in their last away game.
