Premier League and EFL team news
Charlie Taylor latest Burnley player to be ruled out
Ins, outs and injury doubts for the weekend's matches.
Taylor trouble for Clarets
Burnley left-back Charlie Taylor is set for a spell on the sidelines after pulling his hamstring in the Premier League win over Sheffield United on Tuesday night.
Taylor was forced off early in the 1-0 victory and Clarets chief Sean Dyche confirmed he has joined a growing injury list for Sunday's Premier League game with Fulham.
Burnley remain without Dwight McNeil, Jack Cork, Matej Vydra and Johann Berg Gudmundsson, while Jay Rodriguez is a doubt after picking up a knock against Leeds. Dyche said: "Jay has jarred his knee so we hope that settles down."
No Moore for Bluebirds this week
Cardiff City's eight-goal top scorer Kieffer Moore won't be fit for a return to his former club Rotherham in the Championship.
The Wales international striker is recovering from a torn hamstring which has kept him out since the Bluebirds' defeat to rivals Swansea three weeks ago.
Cardiff are still missing playmaker Lee Tomlin and Arsenal's on-loan right-back Jordi Osei-Tutu.
They could also be without their skipper Sean Morrison for the trip to the New York Stadium. The centre-back managed just 20 minutes in Tuesday's dismal 2-1 loss at Wycombe before hobbling off with a foot injury.
Gunners getting stronger
Mikel Arteta hopes to have finally turned a corner with Arsenal courtesy of back-to-back wins over Chelsea and Brighton, and there could be more good news for the Spaniard with two key men back for their showdown at West Brom.
David Luiz and Willian have missed the last few games following Covid scares but both are back in training.
Thomas Partey, out for three weeks, is also training again and could appear at The Hawthorns.
Defensive headache for Mowbray
Blackburn boss Tony Mowbray fears he may be forced into yet another defensive reshuffle after Daniel Ayala and Ryan Nyambe were injured against Huddersfield on Tuesday.
Ayala, just back from a bruised foot, limped off in the final quarter of the game while Nyambe had to be replaced on the hour with a sore hamstring.
Captain Lenihan, who has already had four different central defensive partners this month, was also limping towards the end of the 2-1 loss at the John Smith's Stadium. Mowbray can ill-afford to lose his skipper with Scott Wharton and Derrick Williams long-term absentees.
Looking ahead to the trip to Birmingham, Mowbray said: "I just don't know what the back line is going to look like."
Brighter outlook for Colchester
Colchester could do with some good news after sliding down the League Two table and they could have it going into their showdown with Tranmere.
United, without a win in five games, hope to welcome back Callum Harriott, Cohen Bramall and Harry Pell from injuries. Five-goal Harriott and Bramall have been out for two weeks and Pell missing for a month.
