Coventry v Reading
3pm Saturday
Coventry manager Mark Robins claimed his side "dominated from start to finish" in last weekend's 1-0 Championship defeat at Barnsley and the Sky Blues bounced back with a 1-0 win at Blackpool on Tuesday.
Cov had 62 per cent of possession and missed an injury-time penalty at Oakwell, having kicked off their season with a dramatic 96th-minute winner against Nottingham Forest in their first match back in Coventry after spells based in Northampton and Birmingham.
Robins' men thrashed Millwall 6-1 on the final day of last season, bidding farewell to their temporary home of St Andrew's in style, and they can extend their fine form against Reading on Saturday.
The Royals finished seventh last season but their underlying stats suggested they were never serious promotion contenders and this term has started with 3-2 defeats to Stoke and Bristol City and a 2-1 win over Preston in which they scored with their only two shots on target.
Doncaster v Portsmouth
3pm Saturday
After League One playoff semi-final defeats in the last two seasons, Portsmouth will be targeting a top-two finish this term and they have made a perfect start to their campaign, winning their first three games to nil.
Fleetwood, Crewe and Shrewsbury were not the toughest early-season opponents and Saturday's fixture at troubled Doncaster looks another winnable game for Danny Cowley's men.
Donny have lost their first three games, going down 2-1 at home to AFC Wimbledon before a 2-0 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday and a 1-0 reverse at Accrington and they needed penalties to get past League Two Walsall in the EFL Cup after a 0-0 draw.
That lack of goals is a major concern bearing in mind Portsmouth's defensive record and the visitors' new-look midfield has caught the eye. Ryan Tunnicliffe has made a great impression while Wales midfielder Joe Morrell is being kept out of the starting 11 by fellow summer signing Shaun Williams.
Hertha Berlin v Wolfsburg
2.30pm Saturday
Wolfsburg's German Cup run ended in embarrassing fashion this week as they were thrown out because coach Mark van Bommel made too many substitutions in a tie that went to extra-time.
That amateurish error was not in keeping with a side who qualified for the Champions League by finishing fourth in the Bundesliga last season and Van Bommel can make amends with a win at Hertha Berlin.
Wolfsburg finished 26 points above Hertha last season, winning 14 of their 20 games against teams outside the top eight, and they beat promoted Bochum 1-0 in their league opener this term.
Hertha, who lost 3-1 away to Cologne last weekend, drew 1-1 with Wolfsburg in this fixture last season but that was the only point they took from ten games against the top five.
