"Brendan Rodgers' man-management is superb"
Leicester boss can lead Foxes to Wembley
Ayoze Perez's house reportedly went into darkness when word got out regarding his controversial party last week but the lights won't be going out on Leicester's FA Cup dream this weekend.
The Foxes can beat Southampton in the semi-finals to set-up a final against either Chelsea or Manchester City and put a lid on what happened when Perez, Hamza Choudhury and James Maddison were all being dropped for last week's Premier League loss to West Ham.
It was absolutely crazy from the players involved, but I thought Rodgers handled it superbly and showed just what a top boss he has become.
He disciplined the players without throwing them under the bus and the way he dealt with it was a lesson to someone like Mikel Arteta, who is trying to bring a new discipline to Arsenal.
Rodgers is softer in his approach, making his point without losing the players, and that is a delicate balancing act to pull off.
It will be interesting to see how the Leicester dressing-room reacts to those who badly let the club down. I would have probably laughed it off, made a joke and said something like "you owe us", but I can imagine some senior players will have been stronger.
Steve Lomas would not have stood for that at West Ham and Dennis Wise at Chelsea would have gone mad! However, what's done is done and I tell you what else is done - Maddison's England hopes.
He has no chance now, which is a shame because he was great last season and Jack Grealish is maybe struggling for fitness, but Gareth Southgate won't go near Maddison.
I'd back Leicester to win in a game with both teams scoring and I couldn't put anyone off Chelsea versus Manchester City going all the way to penalties.
It could well be that close, but I do think sometimes Pep Guardiola can overcomplicate these really big matches, which gives Chelsea a decent chance at the odds available.
Lingard can be a Hammers hero
It doesn't matter what the profession - you always stand a better chance when someone believes in you and Jesse Lingard could do a lot worse than stick with West Ham next season.
Lingard's form has been incredible since he joined the Hammers on loan to the extent that he will have some decent options in the summer should he leave Manchester United. But I think he would be better off being a big fish in a medium-sized pond rather than a small one in a big pond.
I played at West Ham with Paolo Di Canio and the fans adored him. Lingard could be similarly loved -be the star of the team - and David Moyes could be prepared to build a side around him.
West Ham need to show the ambition to tempt Lingard but he also needs to understand the Hammers could be perfect for him too.
