There will be a fascinating clash of styles at Molineux as Nuno Espirito Santo's supremely well-drilled Wolves team host an Arsenal side who are consistently inconsistent.

The Gunners resumed their campaign in characteristic fashion, losing 3-0 at Manchester City where David Luiz was sent off in an error-strewn display from Mikel Arteta's side.

Next came a scrappy 2-1 defeat at relegation-threatened Brighton but the Gunners have bounced back with league victories over Southampton (2-0) and Norwich (4-0) either side of a 2-1 FA Cup quarter-final win at Sheffield United.

Arsenal capitalised on some woeful individual errors from Southampton and Norwich players but they can expect few gifts from an outstanding Wolves defence.

Nuno's men are going strong in this season's Europa League but a hat-trick of league wins after the restart means qualification for next term's Champions League looks a realistic objective.

Taken in isolation, there is nothing spectacular about a 2-0 victory over West Ham and 1-0 wins against bottom-three sides Bournemouth and Aston Villa.

However, the organisation, game management and efficiency displayed by Wolves, coupled with the attacking edge offered by Adama Traore and Raul Jimenez, mean they are formidable opponents even for the best teams in England.

That is certainly factored into the match betting, in which Wanderers are clear favourites, and few opponents have managed to unsettle their defence this season.

The trio of Willy Boly, Conor Coady and Romain Saiss have kept seven clean sheets in their last eight games together and Wolves have done the double over Manchester City, shut out third-placed Leicester at home and away, and competed well in two narrow defeats to champions Liverpool.

If Arsenal are to break through then they may well require patience and a bet on the second half producing more goals than the first looks a tempting price.

Six of Wanderers' last eight league matches have been goalless at half-time and they are happy to play the waiting game in the knowledge that they finish their games so strongly.

Late goals have been a feature of the Nuno era at Molineux. This season 73 per cent of the league goals scored by Wolves have come in the second half while last term that figure was 64 per cent.

Arsenal's five away games against top-six teams – defeats at Liverpool, Manchester City and Leicester, and draws at Chelsea and Manchester United – have featured 15 goals, only four of which were scored in the first half.
