The bottom five teams in the Premier League are all in action in the Saturday 3pm kick-offs with bottom club Newcastle aiming for their first victory of the campaign away to 16th-placed Southampton.

Despite taking only two points from their first nine league games, the Magpies are 15-8 fifth-favourites for relegation with the Saints, who narrowly avoided the drop last season, 5-1.

Huddersfield and Cardiff are 2-5 joint-favourites for the drop and bookmakers aren't expecting the Bluebirds to follow up last week's win over Fulham with a victory over Liverpool at Anfield.

Neil Warnock's men are as big as 33-1 to claim three points on Merseyside and Liverpool to score four or more goals against them is 5-4 favourite in Betway's special market on what will happen first over this round of Premier League fixtures.

It is 6-4 that both teams score in Leicester versus West Ham, 7-1 that Arsenal win to nil at Crystal Palace on Sunday, 8-1 about Manchester United winning by two or more goals against Everton, and 16-1 that Tottenham draw with Manchester City on Monday night. It's 9-2 that none of the events quoted occur.

Arsenal are aiming for a 12th straight win in all competitions when they travel to Selhurst Park but bet365 still think the Gunners' most likely finishing position in the league this season is fifth.

That's a 2-1 chance with the firm while fourth is 11-4, sixth is 9-2, third is 5-1 and second 20-1. Unai Emery's side are 28-1 to win the title and 10-1 to finish seventh or lower.

Arsenal are 7-1 to win the Europa League after Danny Welbeck's winner away to Sporting on Thursday made it three wins out of three in the group. But London rivals Chelsea have also made a perfect start to the group stage and are no bigger than 5-1 to lift the trophy in Baku.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho says he is "not confident" about goalkeeper David de Gea signing a new contract at the club and Ladbrokes offer 6-4 that the Spain international's next club is Juventus.

Paddy Power make Liverpool's game against Cardiff their 10-11 favourite to be the first shown on the BBC's Match of the Day on Saturday night. Fulham versus Bournemouth is next in the betting at 4-1 with Watford against Huddersfield the least likely fixture to top the bill at 9-1.

Paddy Power - first game on Match of the Day: 10-11 Liverpool v Cardiff, 4 Fulham v Bournemouth, 5 Leicester v West Ham, 7 Southampton v Newcastle, 15-2 Brighton v Wolves, 9 Watford v Huddersfield.
