Team news
West Ham
Michail Antonio (hamstring) could return to the squad but Manuel Lanzini is a doubt and Arthur Masuaku is out.
Brighton
Tariq Lamptey (hamstring) has joined Florin Andone and Jose Izquierdo on the sidelines. Graham Potter could name the same 11 who started against Sheffield United.
Match preview
West Ham blew a 3-1 lead to draw 3-3 with Brighton at the London Stadium in February but the Hammers are in more ruthless form going into Sunday's home clash with the Seagulls.
Manager David Moyes must have been fearing the worst after starting the campaign with defeats at home to Newcastle and away to Arsenal.
However, West Ham have picked up well since then and their only defeats in their last 12 league games have come away to champions Liverpool and Chelsea and at home to Manchester United, when they led 1-0 until the 65th minute.
Brighton finished two points above the 16th-placed Hammers last term but have failed to kick on under Graham Potter and needed a late equaliser to avoid a home defeat to Sheffield United last time out.
That form does not stack up well given that the Blades had taken just one point from their previous 13 league matches and were reduced to ten men in the 40th minute at the Amex.
Brighton's last four league victories have come on the road but that is more a reflection of their dismal home form than anything else.
They failed to score in their last two away matches, a 3-0 defeat at Leicester and a goalless draw at Fulham, while West Ham found the net in each of their previous 13 league matches before Monday's 3-0 defeat at Chelsea.
The Hammers had won four of their previous six before the Stamford Bridge setback and this looks an ideal opportunity for them to bounce back swiftly.
Key stat
West Ham have scored first in five of their last six home matches.
