Match preview

One of the more quirky stats of the Premier League season is that 24 per cent of relegated West Brom's goals were scored against Chelsea.

The Baggies drew 3-3 and won 5-2 against the Champions League finalists and they could enjoy more success in front of goal against another team from the capital.

Until recently West Ham were jostling with Chelsea for the status of top London club, despite having been 66-1 shots in that market at the start of the season.

However, their hopes of crashing the top four have been ended by a run of three defeats in their last five games and it would have been four in five but for Said Benrahma's 87th-minute equaliser at Brighton last weekend.

Declan Rice made a welcome return from injury at the Amex Stadium but even with the England man in the starting 11 there is a soft look to the Hammers.

They beat the Baggies 2-1 at the London Stadium in January, when Darnell Furlong missed a decent chance to equalise in added time, and their only clean sheets in 17 games since then came against Burnley, Leeds and relegated pair Fulham and Sheffield United.

Four of West Ham's last eight opponents – Arsenal, Wolves, Leicester and Newcastle – have scored at least twice and West Brom are worth backing to do the same.

Sam Allardyce's side have found the net in six of their last seven games, scoring once against Wolves, Arsenal and Liverpool, twice against Aston Villa, three times against Southampton and five times in the win at Chelsea.

Key stat

West Ham have kept only one clean sheet in their last 12 Premier League matches.
