The relegation battle became more interesting after weekend wins for Watford and Burnley and the Hornets can add another point to their tally by holding Crystal Palace to a draw on Wednesday night.

Another win would be gold dust for Watford, but they will be acutely aware of the importance of avoiding defeat. Three of Watford's previous four league wins were followed by defeat and it is vital that they achieve greater consistency if they are to harbour genuine hopes of survival.

Palace will view the trip to Hertfordshire as a good chance to get back on track after six games without a league win and they are boosted by the return of Conor Gallagher, who was unable to face parent club Chelsea at the weekend.
