It's played three, won three, and no goals conceded for Tottenham at their new stadium, and Brighton are unlikely to trouble those statistics.

Both teams need the points. Spurs are aiming to cement a place in next season's Champions League and Brighton are locked in a quest to stay in the Premier League, but it's difficult to see past the odds-on hosts.

Mauricio Pochettino does not have the largest of squads and arguably could have rested more of his first team in Saturday's 1-0 reverse at Manchester City, although he probably gambled on Spurs being able to collect maximum points against Brighton without firing on all cylinders.

Heung-Min Son and Lucas Moura's pace can compensate for the continued absence of talisman Harry Kane, while there remains a creative threat from midfield through Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen.

There has been a noticeable lift for the squad from moving to their new stadium. They have beaten Crystal Palace 2-0, Manchester City 1-0 and Huddersfield 4-0, and reaching the Champions League semi-finals will only have improved the mood further.

Brighton boss Chris Hughton will no doubt enjoy the surroundings as a Tottenham man, but he is unlikely to enjoy the result as Albion look to grind their way to Premier League safety.

They are three points clear of Cardiff in the relegation battle and the Seagulls could see Saturday's home match against Newcastle as the more attractive proposition to collect a victory.

Brighton are showing hardly any attacking intent, having gone six matches without a goal, and received criticism in parts for their all-out defensive performance in Saturday's 0-0 draw at Wolves.

Brighton failed to muster a shot on target at Molineux and if Hughton sets the side up to be negative at Wolves, it makes sense to expect even more of a rearguard action at Tottenham.

Hughton, a conservative coach anyway, has spoken of trying to get back to basics and making sure to stay solid, which helps them defensively but can leave Glenn Murray isolated.

Those tactics, however, help to keep Brighton competitive. They have lost all ten away matches to the big six since the start of last season, but eight of those featured no more than three goals.

Brighton have lost 1-0 at Liverpool this season, 2-0 at City and 3-0 at Chelsea, and Tottenham may struggle to win by a handsome margin.
