Liverpool 2-0 Aston Villa

Bournemouth 2-0 Coventry

Playoff-chasing Bournemouth have won their last three league games by at least two goals and should be comfortable winners against Coventry, who have gone eight away games without a victory.

Preston 1-2 Brentford

Four successive draws have done immense damage to Brentford's promotion hopes but the Bees can respond with a victory over 16th-placed Preston, who have won just five of 20 home league games.

Barnsley 2-1 Middlesbrough

Relentless Barnsley are showing no signs of nerves in the scramble for a top-six finish and can dig out a vital victory at home to Middlesbrough, who have fallen nine points adrift of the playoffs.

QPR 1-2 Sheffield Wednesday

Second-bottom Sheffield Wednesday will have taken huge confidence from their stunning 5-0 victory at home to Cardiff and they can pick up another precious three points at the expense of QPR, who looked well off the pace in their 3-1 defeat at Nottingham Forest.
