Team news

Southampton
James Ward-Prowse is suspended after his red card at Chelsea. Che Adams and Jack Stephens are also set to miss out.

Leeds
Raphinha is set to arrive late from international duty and is unlikely to be risked. Patrick Bamford is still out but Kalvin Phillips could return.

Match preview

Both of these teams find themselves in the bottom six and there looks a decent chance that they may struggle to create opportunities.

Southampton, who are yet to taste victory in the Premier League this season, will be without the suspended James Ward-Prowse, whose set-pieces are an integral part of their attacking arsenal and manager Ralph Hasenhuttel will be without striker Che Adams too.

Leeds, meanwhile, may miss Raphinha, who often gives Marcelo Bielsa's side an attacking spark and demonstrated all his abilities in scoring twice in Brazil's 4-1 win over Uruguay on Thursday.

The Whites are also likely to be without centre forward Patrick Bamford so it is difficult to see from where their goals will come from.

All three of the Saints' home league matches this season have featured fewer than three goals while Leeds have recorded 1-1 draws at Burnley and Newcastle, so this could be another game that falls into the under 2.5 goals category.
