Team news
Southampton
Lyanco has picked up an injury and joins Toni Livramento and Theo Walcott on the sidelines.
Leeds
Stuart Dallas, Luke Ayling and Junior Firpo remain sidelined but Adam Forshaw, Liam Cooper and Luis Sinisterra are back in training and Dan James is available after suspension.
Match preview
Southampton were well beaten in last Saturday's 4-1 loss at Tottenham and could be held to a draw by Leeds at St Mary's Stadium.
There is already pressure on Saints' manager Ralph Hasenhuttl, who was on the back foot after his team's poor finish to last season when they won one of their final 12 games.
Hasenhuttl is favourite to be the next Premier League manager to depart and his squad looks unbalanced with nobody putting their hand up to fill the centre-forward vacancy created by Armando Broja's return to Chelsea.
Leeds look the more settled side, which is surprising given the recent departure of star players Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha.
New signings Rasmus Kristensen, Tyler Adams, Marc Roca and Brendan Aaronson had decent debuts in last Saturday's 2-1 success over Wolves, but Leeds have lost on four of their last five trips to Southampton and may be content to take a point this weekend.
Key stat
Southampton drew 13 matches in the Premier League last season, the fourth highest in the division.
