Match preview

Sheffield United fans will return to Bramall Lane for the final game of the season, but they shouldn't expect to see too much action when Burnley venture across the Pennines.

The Blades' relegation has been confirmed for some time now and even with their fans back inside the stadium, their recent form suggests they will struggle against the Clarets.

Paul Heckingbottom's men have failed to score in four of their previous six at Bramall Lane and have scored more than once in a home match just twice all season.

Burnley have also had a season to forget, but their experience of battling the drop in previous years got them out of trouble at the right time, with wins over Wolves and Fulham preserving their top-flight status for another year.

The Clarets haven't enjoyed their trips to Bramall Lane, having won on just two of their previous 21 visits, and they are less secure without goalkeeper Nick Pope, who is an injury doubt in Sunday, in the side. The Lancashire outfit have lost all five games the England international has missed this season.

Both sides have struggled in the final third this season - the Blades are the lowest scorers in the division with just 19 goals scored while the Clarets rank 18th with 33.

With nothing resting on the match for either side, there could be a distinct end-of-term feel at Bramall Lane and backing under 2.5 goals looks the best approach.

Key stat

Under 2.5 goals has landed in the pair's last three meetings.
