Sergio Aguero double helps Man City thrash Bournemouth

Manchester City's grip on the Premier League title race tightened as two goals from Sergio Aguero helped them to a 4-0 victory over Bournemouth at the Etihad.

Aguero took his seasonal league tally to 12 - the same mark as teammate Raheem Sterling, who was also among the scorers.

The defeat for Bournemouth, their fourth in a row, sent them into the bottom three.

Chelsea have fallen 16 points off the pace after failing to make their dominance count in a 0-0 draw at Everton.

Antonio Conte's side stayed third and Everton remained ninth after extending their unbeaten sequence to seven games.

Harry Kane joined Mohamed Salah on 15 goals at the top of the scoring charts after bagging a hat-trick in Tottenham's 3-0 victory over Burnley at Turf Moor.

Spurs are up to fifth, above rivals Arsenal on goal difference and two points ahead of seventh-placed Burnley.

Newcastle climbed out of the drop zone after goals from Henri Saivet, Mohamed Diame and Christian Atsu sealed a 3-2 win at relegation rivals West Ham.

Under-fire Stoke manager Mark Hughes breathed a huge sigh of relief after the Potters battled to a 3-1 home win over fellow strugglers West Brom.

Joe Allen, Eric Choupo-Moting and Ramadan Sobhi were on target for Stoke, who extended second-bottom Albion's winless run to 17 league games.

Hughes had been 3-10 with Paddy Power to be the next top flight manager to leave going into the weekend but his team are up to 14th.
