Preview

The Merseyside derby has not been a happy affair for Everton in recent seasons, with the Toffees enjoying just one win in their last 26 games against neighbours Liverpool.

Last season the Blues took out some of that frustration on their rivals from across Stanley Park, picking up nine cards across the two league defeats (1-4 at Goodison and 0-2 at Anfield).

Derbies are always built up as feisty affairs and Everton's new combative midfielder Amadou Onana is unlikely to shirk any challenges on Saturday.

The 21-year-old will experience the white-hot atmosphere of a derby for the first time in his career and given he has already collected 13 cards in just 27 league starts, he is a likely candidate to find his way into Anthony Taylor's notebook.

Crystal Palace’s visit to Newcastle could be another hot-tempered encounter. Only Aston Villa and Leeds have committed more fouls than the Eagles (70) this season and with tricky attacking players on show for both teams, fouls and cards could soon mount up.

Arbiter Michael Salisbury has shown ten cards in two games this season and the 7-5 about over 45 booking points looks worth taking.

No side were more active in the transfer window than Nottingham Forest, who took their tally of new faces to 21 with three deadline-day additions.

Forest's wheeling and dealing has drawn plenty of comments but the capture of Neco Williams looks an astute piece of business. The Welsh international already leads the team with 0.9 expected assists and much of their attacking output goes through him. The 9-2 about Williams registering an assist against a poor Bournemouth side is of interest.

Erling Haaland has been the star of the show for Manchester City so far but a fully-rested Kevin De Bruyne will also strike fear into Aston Villa supporters ahead of Saturday's clash at Villa Park.

The Belgian scored 15 goals last season and can operate in the spaces opened up by Haaland’s presence. He looks a decent bet at 21-10 to get on the scoresheet in the Midlands.
