Tottenham have a perfect home record from two matches in their new stadium and they should have few problems making it three out of three when relegated Huddersfield visit.

Harry Kane is absent for Spurs but it is unlikely to be a major issue for Mauricio Pochettino's men, who are capable of hitting the front swiftly as they look to jump back above Chelsea into third spot and justify red-hot favouritism against the toothless Terriers.

There is a chance that Spurs will be distracted by Wednesday's Champions League second leg against Manchester City, particularly after making the quarter-final interesting with a fine 1-0 success over the Premier League champions on Tuesday, but Huddersfield at home is the perfect match on paper to face in an otherwise tough schedule.

Kane's latest ankle problem could well impact Pochettino's plans for the Etihad encounter and it's wrong to suggest that Tottenham are stronger without their talisman.

Kane has twice won the Premier League Golden Boot and has recorded 17 goals in an injury-hit season, but Spurs scored through Heung-Min Son after Kane hobbled off in midweek and this season's form suggests they can cope.

Spurs won the four Premier League games he has missed entirely - at home to Leicester, Newcastle and Watford and away to Fulham - and they were already 2-0 up at Leicester before Kane was brought on after the England captain was rested.

Son stepped up with vital goals in four of those five matches and he missed the trip to Craven Cottage, so it is the South Korean sensation who usually shines brightest when Kane is missing.

Getting involved in the handicap markets is tricky as there is a chance Spurs will ease off if the job is completed early and Huddersfield don't tend to reach the interval level in matches against England's elite opponents.

Town have lost all nine of their matches against the big six this season and in eight of those they were already behind at the break.

Rookie boss Jan Siewert has done little to suggest he is the long-term solution to replacing David Wagner and there have been some reports suggesting another change could take place in the summer.

Rock-bottom Huddersfield have suffered defeats in 18 of their last 20 Premier League matches, scoring just 19 goals in a sorry season that has got nowhere near the highs of last term's survival act.

The club already appear to be making team selections looking towards next term, dumping Danish trio of keeper Jonas Lossl, experienced defender Mathias Jorgensen and long-throw expert Philip Billing, and it will take a season's best performance for them to even avoid defeat.
