Title favourites Manchester City slipped to their first Premier League defeat of the season on Sunday, losing 1-0 to Liverpool in a high-octane affair at Anfield.

Mo Salah, a 15-2 shot to score first, bagged the only goal of the game in the 76th minute to move the Reds into the top eight. They have been trimmed to 25-1 for the crown.

It was a frustrating afternoon for the Citizens, who had a goal from Phil Foden chalked off by VAR just before the hour mark following a foul from Erling Haaland on Fabinho in the build-up.

Pep Guardiola's side nonetheless remain 1-4 favourites to lift the trophy.

They are now four points off leaders Arsenal, who remain top of the Premier League standings after beating Leeds 1-0 at Elland Road earlier in the day. Mikel Arteta's side are a best-priced 6-1 for the title.
