Arsenal have been trimmed to 9-2 with Hills to win this season's Premier League after they returned to the top of the table with a commanding 1-0 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Defender Gabriel scored the only goal of the game in the 63rd minute, tucking away Bukayo Saka's corner in a match which the Gunners dictated from start to finish.

Gabriel Martinelli came close with a curling effort and Gabriel Jesus should have done better with a diving header when unmarked earlier in the contest, while former Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang failed to make an impact for the Blues, who are out to as big as 200-1 in the title betting.

The win means Mikel Arteta's men have re-established their two-point advantage over 1-5 outright favourites Manchester City, who put the pressure on with a last-gasp 2-1 win over Fulham on Saturday.

Arsenal are 1-25 with Betfair to make the Champions League places this season and will travel to Wolves in their final league game before the start of the Qatar World Cup.

Later in the day, Liverpool climbed up to eighth in the Premier League standings courtesy of a 2-1 win away to Tottenham and the Reds are 8-13 for a top-four finish.

Mohamed Salah bagged both goals at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, first converting a pass from Darwin Nunez and then capitalising on a misplaced headed back-pass from Eric Dier, before Harry Kane snatched a consolation for Spurs.

That was Kane's 11th goal in 14 league matches this season, although he still trails Erling Haaland by seven in the race for the Golden Boot.

Newcastle, meanwhile, highlighted their top-four credentials with a 4-1 thrashing of Southampton, who have been cut to 7-4 for the drop.

The Magpies moved up to third with the victory and are 1-3 in the 'without the big six' market with bet365.

Elsewhere, Unai Emery's Aston Villa tenure got off to a superb start with a 3-1 victory over Manchester United at Villa Park and Crystal Palace recorded their first away win in the league this season, edging West Ham 2-1 at the London Stadium.
