Liverpool moved ten points clear at the top of the Premier League after a Mohamed Salah double helped the Merseysiders to a 2-0 victory over Watford at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp's side are just 1-9 to win the title after their nearest challengers Leicester could only draw 1-1 at home to Norwich despite Jamie Vardy scoring for the ninth consecutive league game.

The ten-point margin activated a pre-season offer from bet365, who pay out on teams winning their respective divisions if they move into a double-digit advantage during the campaign.

Betway and Betfred have already paid out on Liverpool, who can now head off to Qatar for the Club World Cup knowing they are even closer to ending a 30-year wait for the title.

Leicester failed to oblige at 2-9, while 1-4 Chelsea were stunned in a 1-0 defeat by Bournemouth.

The Cherries, 12-1 to win at Stamford Bridge, did the business thanks to a late Dan Gosling goal.

Sheffield United's fine season continued with a 2-0 success over Aston Villa with John Fleck bagging both Blades goals and Chris Wood scored in Burnley's 1-0 triumph over Newcastle.

West Ham moved up to 15th with a 1-0 win at Southampton that also contained disallowed goals for Michaeil Antonio and Danny Ings. Sebastien Haller's strike leaves the Saints in the relegation zone.
